MuleSoft Virtual CONNECT 2020 had a great DataWeave breakout session. Other MuleSoft Meetup groups - including this one - have focused on 'advanced' DataWeave topics. But do you really understand DataWeave? What makes it different from other programming languages? How it executes?
Answering those questions and more will be the focus of this Denver (virtual) MuleSoft Meetup. Joshua Erney returns to deliver an introduction to DataWeave we all wish we had before writing our first DataWeave script. He will cover what makes DataWeave different than other programming languages:
* its execution mode
* its interplay between MIME and data types
* general rules for transforming to and from the three (3) core MIME types: JSON, XML, and CSV
He will have numerous examples and demos to reinforce the concepts he will present.

Brian is an Enterprise Middleware Solution Architect with more than 15 years of experience developing Middleware and Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) based solutions for commercial and public sector customers. Indeed, rumor has it that some of his Middleware code is still in production at a large west coast city. He is currently the MuleSoft Practice Manager at Argano. When he’s not trying to solve another transformation puzzle with Dataweave, you can find him on the slopes, participating in 5Ks/10Ks, or on the pitch as a soccer referee.
