Following the great feedback from the previous event we will be focussing on three areas in this meetup:
1 - Talk about API standards
2 - Deep dive into logging techniques and changing logging on the fly
2a - A note on improvements to logging
3 - Migrating to Mule 4 - Presented by a Muley!
Saint-Gobain Building Distribution
I have completed the MCD - API Design Associate (RAML 1.0) and MCD - Integration and API Associate (Mule 3.9) accreditations having been on several of the Mulesoft training courses, attended Mulesoft Summits and working with Mulesoft software and applications for two years.
I'm an IT professional and you'll find me geeking out in the evenings at meetups in Leeds, Manchester and other places around West Yorkshire such as Agile in Yorkshire, Leeds DevOps, ExpertTalks, Yorkshire Powershell, CodeUp Leeds, etc.
Technologies and Tools that I would recommend for Mulesoft include;
Understanding JSON and JSON schema validation
Regular Expressions for String Validation
Using the Eclipse Development Environment and some understanding of the Java Stack
An understanding of Maven and GIT for version control, building of projects and handling code dependencies
Writing of Service contracts using RAML and or familiarity with other standards such as OpenAPI (OAS and Swagger)
Using tools such as GitHub, Postman or Advanced REST Client, Notepad++ with plugins for XML and JSON handling, Anypoint Studio for development
Understanding of OS level tools such as ftp, sftp, netcat, telnet, SSH. samba and JMS queues for handling endpoint reading and writing
